The vote in favor of Christopher Waller was 48-47.
The Senate confirmed Christopher Waller, executive president of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, to the Federal Reserve’s Board of Governors late last week. President Donald Trump had nominated him for the position along with Judy Shelton, who was closely scrutinized and voted down by the Senate last month.
Waller, a respected figure among economists, was confirmed in a very close party-line vote of 48-47. With Waller’s confirmation, President Trump has successfully chosen four out of six of the Fed’s board of governors.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That the Senate would have wisdom on which nominees to confirm.
- That Christopher Waller would have the Lord’s providence and blessing as he takes up his new position.
- For President Trump as he strives to lead the country in the way the Lord guides him to.
